Records of East Asian species of herminiine moths Edessena hamada (Felder & Rogenhofer, 1874) and Paracolax contigua (Leech, 1900) (Lepidoptera, Erebidae, Herminiinae) in the south of the Russian Far East

The paper presents data on the occurrence of two herminiine moth species, Edessena hamada (Felder & Rogenhofer, 1874) and Paracolax contigua (Leech, 1900) (Lepidoptera, Erebidae, Herminiinae) in the south of the Russian Far East. Paracolax contigua is reported for the Russian fauna for the first time, based on a female collected in the Oktyabr’sky District of Primorsky Krai (vicinity of Sinelnikovo-1 village). Evidence suggests that Edessena hamada is attempting to colonize Primorsky Krai, as indicated by an increasing number of records in recent years. The paper also describes the first record of this species for Khabarovsk Krai, based on a male collected in the Imeni Lazo District near Marusino village).
