The first results of special collecting of the orthopteroid insects (Dictyoptera: Mantodea, and Orthoptera) in the lower part of the Amur River basin are described. The local fauna includes both species mainly distributed in the boreal part of the Palaearctic Region, and forms usually associated either with the so-called Manchurian fauna (Atlanticus brunneri, Sphagniana ussuriana, Podismopsis ussuriensis) or with the southern parts of the Palaearctic Region (Mantis religiosa, Phaneroptera falcata, Oedaleus infernalis). Primnoa primnoa is also found in the central part of the Primorsky Krai (near Gornye Kliuchi) for the first time
