Studying of a typical material of O. Bremer has shown the conspecificity of taxons simplicealis Bremer, 1864 and noctualis Yamanaka, 1978, therefore a new synonim is established: Pyrausta simplicealis (Bremer, 1864), comb. nov. =noctualis Yamanaka, 1978, syn. nov.
