An illustrated description of a new species of free-living marine nematode, Metalinhomoeus tenuis sp. nov., found in coral reefs of the coast of Vietnam. New species is close to M. biratus Vitiello, 1969 and M. insularis Timm, 1967; Vitiello, 1969, but differs from both species by the comparatively shorter pharynx, comparatively shorter tail, shorter cephalic setae and amphidial fovea located furcated from anterior body end.
