Американская чайка Larus smithsonianus Coues, 1862 — новый вид фауны птиц России

Аннотация

Американская чайка Larus smithsonianus Coues, 1862 населяет бóльшую часть территории Северной Америки. В Азии этот вид регистрировали на зимовке в Японии, Южной Корее и на восточном побережье Китая, но не было ни одного наблюдения его на территории России. В данном сообщении приводится информация о первой документированной находке американской чайки в российских водах Охотского моря. Взрослая птица в зимнем наряде была сфотографирована 25 января 2015 г. в координатах 51º23’38” с. ш., 154º45’00” в. д. в 120 км от побережья Юго-Западной Камчатки. Анализ описательных диагностических признаков показал, что все они без исключения находятся в пределах изменчивости формы smithsonianus, гнездящейся в северо-восточной части Северной Америки. Достоверность идентификации подтверждена Фаунистической комиссией при Мензбировском орнитологическом обществе.
