Species diversity of benthic cilates of the Sumgait coast of the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan

The article reports the results of a comparative study of free-living benthic ciliates of the Sumgait Coast of the Caspian Sea. The study identified a total of 119 species belonging to 29 families. The research methods included pairwise and cluster analysis of similarity of species diversity in the studied sites. The sites were subject to comparative biotesting of organic pollution. It was found that compared to our 2014 data, the Sumgait Coast of the Caspian Sea has seen an improvement in the sanitary quality of seawater.
