Our study focuses on the systematic position of the taxa Syntormon pallipes and S. pseudospicatus. The spotlight is on the intraspecific variability of traits that were previously used to distinguish these taxa. S. Pseudospicatus should be considered synonymous to S. pallipes. We provide new data on the fauna of S. pallipes in Russia and adjacent territories. For the first time, this species is noted for the Arkhangelsk region of Russia and Turkmenistan. It is the first study of the hypopygium morphology and its individual variability.
