The lectotype male of Kirinia epaminondas (Lang, 1884) and Kirinia epaminondas (Staudinger, 1887) is designated and figured: it is the same male specimen deposited in the Museum für Naturkunde an der Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, Germany.
