An aquatic crambid moth Acentria ephemerella (Pyraloidea: Crambidae, Acentropinae) is reported for the first time from the Asiatic part of Russia. External morphology and structure of the genital apparatus are described and illustrated for both males and females. Ecological characteristics and life cycle of Acentria ephemerella are discussed; it is suggested that the expansion of aquatic moths is based on the transferring of their eggs by migratory waterfowl.
