A study of the frequency of mutant alleles that control coat colour in the population of domestic cats of Kholmsk town was repeated after 25 years. Statistically not significant increase in the frequencies of the alleles O and d was revealed. Cats with gene-inhibitor (I) and bobtail cats were found in the population for the first time.
