Abstract

The genus Testudo had been presented in the fauna of Azerbaijan by the only taxon Testudo graeca ibera Pallas, 1814. 4 individuals of the second species, Testudo marginata pallasi Chkhikvadze et Bakradze, 2002, were found in the North-Eastern Azerbaijan (N: 41°41'31'', E: 46°27'50''). Diagnostic characters of the latter taxon are described.
