TRICHIOSOMA NANAE VIKBERG ET VIITASAARI, 1991 (HYMENOPTERA, SYMPHYTA: CIMBICIDAE) – A NEW SPECIES FOR THE FAUNA OF RUSSIA

Scandinavian sawfly Trichiosoma nanae Vikberg et Viitasaari, 1991 was recorded in the Taimyrsky Nature Reserve (northern Krasnoyarskii Krai). Keys to 4 morphologically similar Trichiosoma species are given. The larvae of Trichiosoma nanae feed on Betula nana while other 3 species (Trichiosoma nigricoma Konow, 1906, T. pusillum Stephens, 1835, T. tibiale Stephens, 1835) feed on Salix, Populus, Sorbus and Crataegus spp.
