Recent entomological studies in Tajikistan have confirmed the presence of the species Sphrageidus similis (Füssli, 1775) in the country's fauna. The presence of this species in the region was previously considered questionable or erroneous. This discovery expands the list of known representatives of the subfamily Lymantriinae in Tajikistan to 11 species.
